Dr. Jacobs graduated with honors from Sunset High School in 1986. She received her Bachelor of Science degree and graduated with honors from the University of Louisiana. She attended LSU School of Dentistry for dental school and her pediatric residency, from which she also graduated with honors. In April 2004 she was board certified in pediatric dentistry, furthering her commitment to professionalism and expertise in her field. Dr. Jacobs's achievements during dental school are truly remarkable. Among her accolades, she received the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Award.

She was recognized with the Pediatric Dentistry Award. Her excellence extended beyond pediatric dentistry, as evidenced by her receipt of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Award, Oral Pathology Award, Orthodontic Award, and Orofacial Pain Award. These awards highlight her comprehensive understanding of various aspects of dentistry and her proficiency in each area. Her acceptance in Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society further demonstrates her commitment to academic excellence and professionalism in dentistry, as a distinguished member of the dental community.
