Dr. Jacobs's achievements during dental school are truly remarkable. Among her accolades, she received the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Award. She was recognized with the Pediatric Dentistry Award. Her excellence extended beyond pediatric dentistry, as evidenced by her receipt of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Award, Oral Pathology Award, Orthodontic Award, and Orofacial Pain Award. These awards highlight her comprehensive understanding of various aspects of dentistry and her proficiency in each area. Her acceptance in Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society further demonstrates her commitment to academic excellence and professionalism in dentistry, as a distinguished member of the dental community.

Dr. Jacob’s contributions extend beyond her professional achievements. She served in the US Army for 8 years including Desert Storm demonstrating her commitment to serving her country and protecting its citizens. Her involvement in various charitable organizations underscores her dedication to giving back to her community. She served on the board for the Healing House for Grieving Children for 5 years. Her passion for animal welfare is evident through her avid support of Lafayette Animal Aid. Her philanthropic endeavors span a wide range of causes, including supporting organizations such as The Autism Society, Gifting Grace Project, The Faith House, The Extra Mile for foster children, CYT (Christian Youth Theater), Hope for Opelousas, SOLA (South Louisiana Community Foundation), St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital, and The Hub of Lafayette. As a faithful Christian, she supports the mission of Our Savior’s Church in her community. Through her involvement with these organizations, she contributes to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and our community.

Her commitment to serving others extends beyond her local community. Her mission trips to Atoyac, Mexico, and Chiapas, Mexico, exhibits her dedication to providing dental care to underprivileged children in underserved areas. By volunteering her time and expertise on these mission trips, she has made a significant impact on the lives of hundreds of children who do not have access to dental care otherwise. Her involvement in these mission trips exemplifies her compassion, generosity, and commitment to using her skills to make a positive difference in the world.

Dr. Jacobs is also the author of two children's books, "The Adventure of the Tall Giraffe and the Short Duck" and "Fifi the Freckled Faced Fish.” These books teach young readers about self-acceptance. All of the proceeds from the sale of these books are donated to local children’s charities.

Dr. Leslie Jacobs leads a fulfilling life outside of her professional and philanthropic endeavors. With her two daughters, Callie and Chloe, she shares cherished moments filled with love and laughter. Their family is further enriched by their 3 rescued furry companions: a playful puppy named Pixie and two affectionate cats named Cleo and Drumstick. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, active workouts, traveling and spending quality time with her loved ones. Dr. Jacobs embodies the essence of dedication and excellence through her remarkable journey. Her education, service in the Army, philanthropy, authorship, and dedication to her role as a mother, shows her unwavering devotion for children’s dentistry, leaving a lasting legacy in her field. Dr. Jacobs’s passion is to provide dental care to children as if they were her own.
